How to Download a Scout's Rewards Breakdown Report

Leaders can download a detailed report showing how a Scout earned every Trail's End Rewards® point for the current year, including line-item sales, bonus tiers, and promos.

Written by Rachelle C

The Rewards Breakdown report gives you a detailed look at how a Scout earned their Trail's End Rewards® points for the current year. It shows every sale that earned points, how many points each sale earned, and any bonus tier or promo points the Scout received.

This is helpful when a parent or Scout has questions about their points total, or when you want to see exactly where a Scout's points came from.

Who can access this report: The Rewards Breakdown report is available to leaders only. Council and District leaders can access it by opening a unit's view in the Leader Portal. Parents and Scouts cannot download this report.

How to Download the Report

  1. In the Trail's End Leader Portal, go to Scouts from the main navigation menu.

  2. Click the Scout whose report you want to view.

  3. Click Rewards at the top of the page, or scroll down to the Trail's End Rewards® section.

  4. Click Rewards Breakdown. The report downloads as an Excel file.

What's in the Report

The report has two tabs: Rewards Breakdown and Bonus Tiers.

Rewards Breakdown Tab

The top of this tab shows the Scout's name and Scout Code, followed by a points summary. The summary adds up each point category to show the Scout's total:

Cash Points + Credit Points + Online Points + Product Bonuses + Cash-to-Credit Points + Bonus Tier Points + Promo = Total

This total matches the Total Points shown in the Scout's Trail's End Rewards® section in the Leader Portal.

Below the summary is the Rate Legend, which shows how many points are earned per $1 in each category:

Category

Points per $1

4

Trees Credit Bonus

8

Trees Cash Bonus

2

Heroes and Helpers® Credit Bonus

The rest of the tab lists each sale that earned points, one line per item, with a Totals row at the bottom. Each line includes:

Total Line Item

The dollar amount of the sale credited to the Scout

Payment Type

Whether the customer paid with cash or credit

Sale Type

Date Taken

The date the sale was recorded

Status Code

Cash Points, Credit Points, Online Points, Product Bonus, Cash to Credit Points

The points earned from that line, shown in the matching category

Bonus Tiers Tab

This tab lists the bonus points the Scout earned outside of individual sales:

  • Bonus Tiers: Each Sales Level the Scout has reached, the sales required for that level, and the points awarded.

  • Promos: Each promo the Scout earned points from, with the date and points awarded. The Notes column gives a general description of the promo.

A Totals row at the bottom adds up all bonus tier and promo points.

Understanding the Numbers

Partial Quantities and Points

If your unit uses a Shift split, you may see partial quantities (such as 0.33 or 0.11) and partial points on storefront sales. This is because sales made during a shift are shared among Scouts according to your storefront split setting, so each Scout is credited with their share.

Cash to Credit Points

Cash to Credit® points appear as a single total at the top of the line-item list rather than as separate lines for each sale. Because Cash to Credit® isn't tied to individual transactions, there is no date or status for these lines.

Decimals and Rounding

The report shows points with decimals, while the Leader Portal rounds points to whole numbers. Small differences between the two (for example, 84.72 in the report and 85 in the Leader Portal) are expected and come from rounding only.

What the Report Includes

The report always covers the current year and includes all of the Scout's points for that year.
