How Trail’s End Rewards Work

The Trail’s End Rewards program allows Scouts to earn points for their sales and redeem those points for gift cards. This article provides a complete overview - from earning points to redeeming rewards, so Scouts and leaders know what to expect at each step.

Earning Reward Points

Eligible Sales & Point Values

Scouts earn points based on the type of sale:

  • Heroes and Helpers™ Credit Card Sales: 1.75 points per $1

  • Heroes and Helpers™ Cash Sales: 1.5 points per $1

  • Online Sales: 1.25 points per $1

  • App Credit Card Sales: 1.25 points per $1

  • App Cash Sales: 1 point per $1

Cash to Credit™ Bonus Points

  • Earn an additional 0.25 points per $1 converted using Cash to Credit™.

  • Points from Cash to Credit™ are split evenly among Scouts working the storefront that day, regardless of:

    • Which Scout or parent completed the transaction

    • Which shift the Scout worked

    • Shift length

Bonus & Promotional Points Timing

  • Regular reward points appear immediately after a qualifying sale.

  • Cash to Credit™ bonus points appear within a few minutes of the conversion.

  • Promotional bonus points are added once per week by Friday of the week following when earned.


Account Requirements

  • Each Scout must have their own registered Trail’s End account.

  • Only one Scout per account is allowed.

  • Scouts who share an account are not eligible for rewards and will forfeit all prizes.

All sales must be recorded under the Scout’s account for leaders to submit rewards.


Claiming Rewards (Scouts)

Once rewards are submitted by the Unit Leader and approved by Trail’s End:

  • Scouts can claim their rewards in the Trail’s End App.

  • Claiming deadline: June 30 of the following year

    • Example: 2025 sales must be claimed by June 30, 2026.

When a reward is claimed:

  • An email is sent with a redemption link through Tango, our Rewards vendor.

  • The email is sent to the email address on the Scout’s account.

  • Reward selections are final. eGift cards cannot be canceled, refunded, or exchanged.


Redeeming Rewards (Tango)

Important Mastercard Notes:

  • Redeeming a Mastercard requires creating an account at myprepaidcenter.com

  • Mastercard eGift cards expire 6 months after redemption and cannot be replaced.

  • Physical Mastercard cards are available for a $3 fee.


Selling After Claiming Rewards

Scouts may continue selling even after claiming a reward.

  • If a Scout reaches a higher reward tier later, the Unit Leader can submit another rewards order.

  • The Scout will receive a second redemption link for the difference between tiers.

Viewing Reward Point Details

From the Scout dashboard:

  1. Tap the Reward Level earned.

  2. Scroll to the Points section.

Points are broken down by:

  • Storefront Sales

  • Scout (Wagon) Sales

  • Online Sales

  • Cash to Credit™

  • Products and Promotions

Each category shows both the point total and the percentage of overall points earned.

Participation in the Trail’s End Rewards program is subject to the Terms of the Prize Program. Be sure to review all deadlines and requirements to ensure Scouts receive their earned rewards.
