How Trail’s End Rewards® Work

A complete overview of the Trail's End Rewards® program — how points are earned by sale type, how Cash to Credit® bonus points work, account requirements, claiming and redeeming deadlines, and how to view point breakdowns in the app.

The Trail's End Rewards® program allows Scouts to earn points for their sales and redeem those points for gift cards. This article provides a complete overview - from earning points to redeeming rewards, so Scouts and leaders know what to expect at each step.

Earning Reward Points

Eligible Sales & Point Values

Scouts earn points based on the type of sale:

  • Credit Card Sales (including Online sales): 4 points per $1

  • Cash Sales: 1 point per $1

  • Cash to Credit®: 3 points per $1

  • Heroes and Helpers®: 1 point per $1

New This Year

  • Earn points on sales between levels!

  • With 100% credit sales, Scouts claim when ready!

  • Each point = $0.01 in gift cards! (minimum of $600 in sales required)

Level Bonus Points

  • Earn bonus points upon reaching sales levels. See flyer.


Account Requirements

  • Each Scout must have their own registered Trail's End® account.

  • Only one Scout per account is allowed.

  • Scouts who share an account are not eligible for rewards and will forfeit all prizes.

All sales must be recorded under the Scout's account to earn rewards.


Claiming Rewards (Scouts)

Once rewards are submitted by the Unit Leader and approved by Trail's End:

  • Scouts can claim their rewards in the Trail's End App®.

  • Claiming deadline: March 31 of the following year

  • Example: 2026 sales must be claimed by March 31, 2027.

  • Unclaimed rewards after the March 31st deadline are forfeited and cannot be reinstated. Units and Scouts should ensure timely claims to avoid losing rewards.

When a reward is claimed:

  • An email is sent with a redemption link through Tango, our Rewards vendor.

  • The email is sent to the email address on the Scout's account.

  • Reward selections are final. eGift cards cannot be canceled, refunded, or exchanged.

  • If a reward was claimed but not received, users can log in to their Trail's End® account, navigate to the gift card history section, and follow the instructions to resend it.


Redeeming Rewards (Tango)

Important Mastercard Notes:

  • Redeeming a Mastercard requires creating an account at myprepaidcenter.com

  • Mastercard eGift cards expire 6 months after redemption and cannot be replaced.

  • Physical Mastercard cards are available for a $3 fee.


Selling After Claiming Trail's End Rewards®

Scouts may continue selling even after claiming a reward.

  • The Scout will receive a second redemption link for the difference between the previous earnings and the new earnings.

Viewing Reward Point Details

From the Scout dashboard:

  1. Tap the Reward Level earned.

  2. Scroll to the Points section.

Points are broken down by:

  • Storefront Sales

  • Individual Sales

  • Online Sales

  • Cash to Credit®

  • Products and Promotions

Each category shows both the point total and the percentage of overall points earned.


Additional Information

Participation in the Trail's End Rewards® program is subject to the Terms of the Prize Program. Be sure to review all deadlines and requirements to ensure Scouts receive their earned rewards. Expired rewards from prior years cannot be reinstated.
