Supporting a Scout with an Online Purchase

This article explains how to support an individual Scout, what to do if you don’t have a Scout ID, and how credit is applied to your order.

How do I support an individual Scout?

If you shop using a Scout’s personal link, that Scout will automatically receive credit for your purchase.

If you are already on the Trail’s End website and want to add the Scout you are supporting:

  1. Click the 'Add a Scout ID' button in the top-right corner of the page

  2. Input the Scout ID

  3. Click the 'Confirm Scout ID' button

How do I change the Scout I am supporting?

If you are already on the Trail’s End website and want to change the Scout you are supporting:

  1. Click the down arrow next to the Scout's name you are currently supporting in the top-right corner of the page

  2. Input the Scout ID (or you can Remove the current Scout ID)

  3. Click the 'Confirm Scout ID' button


What if I don’t know my Scout’s ID?

A Scout’s ID can be obtained through the Scout or their parent.

They can:

  1. Send you their personal shopping link, or

  2. Share their Scout ID for you to enter under the 'Add a Scout ID' button

Without a Scout ID, your purchase will benefit your local Council for all Scouts in your area. Your local Council is determined by the zip code you enter at checkout.


Can I support more than one Scout in the same order?

Each order can only support one Scout.

If you would like to support multiple Scouts:

  • Place a separate order for each Scout

  • Use each Scout’s unique link or Scout ID before completing checkout

You can switch Scouts between orders by

  1. Clicking the down arrow next to the Scout's name you are currently supporting and entering a new Scout ID

  2. OR using a different Scout’s link


How do I know which Scout I’m supporting?

The Scout you are supporting is shown under the “Supporting” box at the top of the page. Be sure to confirm this before completing your purchase.


Can I support a specific pack/troop with my online order?

Online orders can support a specific Scout within a unit, or they can support the local Council. There is no way to support a specific/entire unit with your purchase.
