It's important to understand that a payout is not the same as Commission.
Commission: a percentage of the total sales that is your unit's profit for your fundraiser. The percentage is set by your Council and can be seen in the top right of your Account Summary page.
To understand your payout, first understand how your accounting works:
- When your unit orders products from your Council and you are invoiced for the retail value of these products minus your commission.
- As you collect 1) credit card payments, 2) Cash to Credit payments, and 3) online commission, they are each credited toward your bill to Council.

Payout: When your unit collects more credits than the amount due to pay your Council bill, you will have a payout available from Trail's End.
