New Trail's End App

This is a significant release for the 2025 sale and will set Scouts up for success. The new app is full of powerful features. Here's what’s new:

  • Tap to Pay – Tap to Pay is available and is a game changer for making credit card sales fast and easy.
  • Simple dashboard for easy navigation – Everything a Scout needs is now just one tap away. All the key actions for the sale are available for Scouts on their dashboard.
  • Make a Sale button with easy checkout – Scouts can start selling with one button that is easy to find from their dashboard.
  • Goal Setting & Rewards – Scouts are prompted to set their fundraising goal and can use the app to claim their rewards (including the new eGift cards starting 7/1!) and see their rewards history.
  • Storefront Sign-up and My Schedule – The app makes it easy for Scouts to sign up for their storefront shifts and view their schedule.
  • Online Sales Tools – The Online Sales section guides Scouts to personalize their page with photos and their story. It’s easy for Scouts to share their page to drive online sales. We added a quick way for Scouts to contact customers that supported them in the past.
  • Cash to Credit™ - Scouts can convert their cash to credit from the dashboard.
  • Help & Support – Training videos, resource files, knowledge base articles, and access to support are all available to Scouts.

New Rewards

  • New Rewards vendor allows Scouts to choose from 14 eGift cards or a Prepaid Mastercard for the 2025 sale
  • As always, Rewards must be claimed by June 30, 2026.
    • Once claimed the link to redeem does not expire.
    • Prepaid Mastercard will expire 6 months from redemption.
    • All other gift cards do not expire.
  • Improved process to email previously claimed cards in the Trail's End App (Gift card history can no longer be sent from the website).
  • Heroes and Helpers™ sales receive higher rewards (1.75 pts per dollar for credit & 1.5 pts per dollar for cash)

New Online Scout Page

  • Scout pages have been updated to emphasize Scout photos and their story. This lets supporters focus on the Scout and their Scouting adventures.
  • Consumers can easily share a Scout's page with their own network so the Scout's fundraiser can reach even more people. They can share via SMS, email, Facebook, or X. They'll see these options when they are on the Scout's page or after they have completed their purchase.
  • The site preview has been updated when it is shared via social or SMS. It now focuses on the Scout and their story.
  • Accessibility updates have been made to the site.
  • Added default text for Scouts that don't have a Scout story filled in. This gives them a starting spot to personalize and make it their own.

New Login Experience

  • Login, reset password, forgot username, unit commitment, and Scout registration are now located at login.trails-end.com.
  • Sessions will be longer (up to 90 days) so users will not have to login as frequently.
  • Improved security.

In App Guides

  • Allows Trail's End to share guides and notifications within the Portal
  • Example: Onboarding checklist to help prepare for the sale by completing three key steps: setting a goal, storefront settings, and how to invite Scouts.

Storefronts™

  • Added the ability to set a time in addition to the date for when shifts will be available to Scouts to sign up
  • Updated the label of that setting to "Date and time Scouts can sign up for shifts" to make it more clear
  • To reserve Storefronts, units must have a goal set. If the goal is not set, there will be a notification on the Reserve Storefronts™ page with instructions to set it on the Dashboard.
  • Storefronts™ reservation time has been changed to 8pm ET each day (was previously noon ET).
  • Auto Release - If no Scouts are signed up for a reservation by 8:00pm ET on Thursday, any reservations for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will be automatically released. More Info
  • We've updated the process for claiming storefronts to make it much faster for unit leaders. Previously, all storefront reservation requests went into a single queue to process. Now, we've created a queue for each council. This reduces the number of reservations in any queue and significantly reduces the time that reservation requests process.

Products

  • No artificial colors or flavors in popcorn
  • Scouting America branding and photos on packaging
  • Recommended pricing: $20 for Butter, White Cheddar, Salted Caramel, Kettle and Popping Corn; $25 for Microwave Butter. Final prices are set by Councils.

Webinars

  • New Scout led training geared to Scouts and parents
  • Hear from top selling Scouts how to maximize your time and increase your sales per hour.

  • Easy access to Knowledge Base article, including an option to Message us) at the bottom of the dashboard in the app
