STOREFRONT SALES
If the Scout/parent realizes in the moment that they have recorded the wrong item:
- Refund the order. See How do I refund a storefront sale?
- Record it again with the correct item(s).
Notes:
- It is not possible to do a partial refund, the full order will need to be refunded.
- Do not refund a credit card sale if you no longer have the credit card to re-record the new sale. (Do an inventory adjustment instead - See below).
- Refunding and re-recording the sale is optional if the dollar amount is the same. An inventory adjustment could also resolve the issue.
If the error is not recognized in the moment:
- The storefront closeout guide will walk the unit leader through making an inventory adjustment. See How do I closeout a storefront using the closeout guide?
- Note: We do not recommend refunding and re-recording the sale at this point.
WAGON SALES
- Cash sales can be refunded and then re-recorded.
- Do not refund a credit card sale if you no longer have the credit card to re-record the new sale.
- If you are not able to refund and re-record the sale, you can do an inventory adjustment on the dashboard. See My system inventory does not match what I have on-hand. What can I do?
