How do I take orders when my device is offline?

Modified on Tue, 21 May at 11:59 AM

Orders cannot be taken in the app when your device is offline. You can still collect orders and add them to the app later to earn your rewards. Follow these tips so you have a plan in place for a successful sale!

I’m in an area with connectivity that goes in and out

If you’re in an area where connectivity is intermittent, see if you can connect to Wi-Fi. This can work well if you are at a storefront. There may be Wi-Fi provided by the store that can help you get a more stable connection.

If there is not an option to connect to Wi-Fi or the Wi-Fi is not reliable, track sales on paper. You can then enter the sales in the app when you have a reliable connection.

I’m in an area with no connectivity

If you know you are going to be selling in an area with no connectivity, we recommend tracking all sales on paper. Once you have collected sales, go to an area where you can connect your device.

Note: Scouts/parents must enter Storefront sales on the same day as the sale. If sales need to be entered for a previous day, the unit leader has the ability to enter them.

Note: It is important to enter the sales in the app so they can be counted for your rewards.
