How Trail’s End Keeps Scouts Safe While Selling Online

Modified on Fri, 18 Jul at 2:54 PM

At Trail’s End, the safety and privacy of our Scouts is a top priority. We’ve implemented several safeguards to help protect Scouts while they participate in online fundraising:

Limited Display Name

Only the Scout’s first name and last initial appear on their fundraising page to help maintain anonymity.

Not Searchable

Scout fundraising pages are not searchable through the Trail’s End website, making them accessible only through direct links shared by the Scout or their parent or via the Scout code specifically shared with the supporter.

No Location Information

We do not display any location details on a Scout’s selling page.

Optional Photos and Details

Scouts are not required to upload a photo or include personal details. These fields are completely optional.

Smart Sharing Advice

We strongly encourage Scouts and parents to be thoughtful about what they choose to share, especially in the Scout story section. Avoid including sensitive or identifying information.
