How does Cash to Credit work (Scout)?

Modified on Wed, 11 Sep at 1:20 PM

Parents can turn in cash owed for wagon and storefront sales by selecting the 'Use Cash to Credit' option and using their credit card.

Storefront

1) At the end of the shift, the parent will select 'Use Cash to Credit'

2) The parent counts the cash and continues to payment. Note that the parent can choose to pay the full amount shown or edit the amount they'd like to put on their card. The amount available to convert at any given time during the storefront will be all cash sales to that point that have not already been converted.

3) The parent keeps that amount of cash

Notes

  • The best practice is to do this at the end of the shift and keep the cash, however, parents do have until the end of the day (midnight local time).
  • Rewards credit will be split between the Scouts working that storefront on that day.

Wagon

  • Go to the Wagon Sales page and select 'Use Cash to Credit' in the middle of the screen.
  • Leaders will see that a parent has paid by clicking the arrow next to a Scout's name and going to 'Manage Cash', then 'View History'.
  • This can be done at any time during the season. Make sure all Cash to Credit transactions are complete by December 31st at 7pm ET.

Tip: When using Cash to Credit, Scouts will earn an extra 0.25 pts per dollar converted (on top of the 1 pt they earned for the cash sale).

Leader Note: Cash to Credit payments are credited to your bill due to the Council.
