Account Setup: Getting Started as a Leader

Welcome! This guide walks you through registering as a Trail’s End unit leader and addresses common questions about leader account setup.

How do I register as a leader?

To register as a unit leader, visit:


New Leaders

If you do not yet have a leader account:

  1. Select “I need to register for an account.”

  2. Choose whether you are registering yourself or another leader.

  3. Enter the first and last name of the unit leader.

  4. Add a phone number to use for multi-factor authentication (MFA) during future sign-ins.

  5. Enter and confirm your email address.

  6. Select your Council, District, and Unit.

  7. Review the confirmation screen and submit your request.

Your registration request will be sent to your Council for approval.
Once approved, you will receive an email with your username and password.


Returning Leaders

If you already have a leader account:

  1. Select “I already have an account.”

  2. Log in using your existing username and password.

  3. Enter the MFA code to complete sign-in.

  4. Select your Council, District, and Unit.

  5. Review the confirmation screen and choose to:

    • Proceed to your leader dashboard, or

    • Register an additional unit.

I registered but haven’t received my leader login information.

After you register, your request must be approved by your Council.

  • Once approved, you will receive an email with your username and password.

  • If you have not received your login information, you can follow up directly with your Council.


A previous leader shared login information with me, and I can’t log in.

Each leader must have their own individual account.

Once your registration is approved by your Council, you will receive your own username and password.


My unit is not listed in the drop-down menu. How do I register?

Your Council will need to add your unit to the system.

A current leader should contact your Council and provide:

  • Chartered organization name

  • Organization address

  • Organization phone number

Once your unit is added, you will be able to complete leader registration.
