I am having issues logging in to my Leader account.

Troubleshooting for Leader Accounts:


  • Confirm your username by using the forgot username/password option on the login screen.
  • Reset your password using the forgot username/password option on the login screen. Make sure you have at least 8 characters with one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one special character. 
  • When using forgot username/password, the email address or phone number you use for the reset must match the account.
  • Leaders must login on a web browser (the app is for Scouts only).
  • Please ensure you are attempting to login in at the correct URL: https://portal.trails-end.com/login
  • If you are having trouble receiving the multi factor authentication code, please see I did not receive my Multi-Factor Authentication code.
  • Make sure you do not have caps lock on.
  • Try typing in your password and not allowing the use of a password that was saved on your browser or password manager.
  • Try a different browser
  • Clear your browser cache
  • Try from a different device
  • Reboot your device
  • If on your phone on Wi-Fi, try turning it off. If not on Wi-Fi, try turning it on.
  • If you are using VPN, disable it and try logging in again.

  • Council, district, and unit you are with (include previous if recently changed)
  • Any error messages received
  • Details of login attempts
  • Steps tried from the above list, with notes on outcomes
