Why can’t I find a product I’ve purchased in the past?

Trail’s End product offerings change from year to year. Some products are seasonal and may only be available for a limited time. Other products may be discontinued or rotated out as new items are introduced.


Why doesn’t the online product mix match our traditional product mix?

The online product mix is nationwide, whereas Councils have some flexibility in which items are avail for traditional (in-person) sales.


Why are online products and prices different from my Council’s flyer?

Online prices reflect pricing set by Trail's End nationwide. Each Council selects its own product lineup and pricing each year based on local needs.

Additionally, online sales include:

  • Shipping products directly to consumers

  • Fulfillment and logistics costs that differ from in-person sales

The standardized online product line and pricing ensure that:

  • Scouts receive 60% return on all online sales

  • Scouts receive over 70% return across all sales channels


How is sales tax calculated for an online order?

Trail's end must charge sales tax for online sales according to the applicable tax code. The tax code varies depending on the product and destination.

The system will calculate the applicable tax once the items are added to the cart and the shipping address is input.
