How do Scouts typically make online sales?

Most online sales happen when a Scout shares their online selling page with supporters.

Supporters:

  • Shop directly from the Scout’s page

  • Complete checkout themselves

  • Receive products shipped directly to their home

Can Scouts make online sales through the Trail’s End App?

Yes. Online sales are completed through the Scout’s online store page, and there are two ways to do this using the app.

Option 1: Share your online store (recommended)

Scouts can quickly share their online store link from the Trail’s End App so customers can place their own orders.

This option:

  • Is fastest and simplest

  • Reduces errors

  • Allows customers to enter their own payment and shipping details

Option 2: Help a customer place an online order

If needed, Scouts can help a customer start an online order through the app and send it to them to complete.

To do this:

  1. Open the Trail’s End App

  2. Tap 'Online Sales' on the dashboard

  3. In the My Page section, tap 'Visit Page'

  4. Add the products the customer wants to the cart

  5. Tap the Cart icon in the upper-right corner to begin checkout

  6. Tap 'Share' to send the cart to the customer

  7. The customer completes checkout using their own device and payment method


How do I view my Scout’s online orders?

Scouts can view their online orders and sales totals by logging into their account.

  1. Open the Trail’s End App

  2. Tap 'Online Sales' on the dashboard

  3. Scroll down to see a list of online sales


How do I view my Scout’s online orders from a previous year?

You can view online sales from past years using the year selector in the Trail's End portal. (The app only shows current year).

  1. Select the Online Sales tab

  2. Use the year drop-down in the upper-right corner to choose the prior year

  3. Scroll down to view your Scout’s online sales


How do I thank a customer for an online purchase?

We recommend personally thanking customers using your own email, text message, phone call, or another direct method. This helps ensure your message is received and avoids spam filtering.

If you’d like to use the built-in thank-you feature on the website:

  • Go to the Online Sales page

  • Click the “Thank Customer” button next to the order
