How to Commit a Unit on Behalf of a Unit Leader (Council View)

Step-by-step instructions for Council leaders to commit a unit to the fundraiser on behalf of a unit leader

Updated today

Overview

As a Council leader, you can commit a unit to the fundraiser on behalf of a unit leader directly from your Council portal. This is useful when you know they would like to commit, but have not completed the onboarding steps themselves.

Steps

  1. From the Council portal, navigate to Units in the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Use the Search bar to locate the unit you want to commit. You can search by unit name or number.

  3. Once the unit appears in the results, click the Actions menu (the 路路路 icon) on the right side of the unit's row.

  4. Select View Fundraiser Onboarding from the dropdown menu. This opens the unit's onboarding flow in a new view.

  5. On the Commit Unit to Fundraiser page, check the We're committed! checkbox to confirm the unit's participation in the current selling campaign fundraiser.

  6. Click the Commit [Unit Name] button to submit.

A green success banner will appear in the upper-right corner confirming the unit has been committed. The onboarding flow will then advance to the Scout Participation step, where you can click "Finish Later" in the upper right.

What happens next

The unit will show as committed on your Unit Activation page. The unit leader can continue through the remaining onboarding steps at any time.
